GROUNDING & BONDING
Thursday 7/25/24 7:00 pm - Bruce N4LTJ will have a presentation.
Often times, for lightning protection with the signal power service entrance to a building, someone will drive a copper stake into the earth to tie their radio antennas & equipment to, but there's a problem.
Using two different earth-ground systems for lightning protection is as bad as having no lightning protection at all.

These two days directly support state and county agencies along with communication units and AUXCOMM member training. Then on March 16 from 0830 until 1500 the network will be linked to support ARES/RACES/AUXCOMM training. During these training periods, amateur operators are free to monitor the frequencies and may participate during open nets but should refrain from using the system if not supporting the exercise activities. The repeaters will return to normal operation outside these periods. The DMR network will be in emergency operations mode during the link periods. Any emergency or priority traffic may be reported at anytime. This year's exercise will focus on the possible impact of a major earthquake.
